Worse/Best day of the year...

I haven't been feeling too great over the last few weeks, so i decided a visit to the Doctor was needed. He prescribed me some Antibiotics, Pain Killers and a Saline Nasal Wash - I have a sinus and ear infection.

After i got home from the Doctor's, i got the most extraordinary, out-of-blue news by way of a phone call.

Is it possible to be devastated, sad and happy all at the same time? I would say yes.

As happy i was to get this news, i'm still sad and devastated for all of the other people it has had to affect over the years. I am certainly amazed the news didn't come sooner.

Still, i felt i had to get out - not to celebrate, but just to be away from everything, even just for a few hours, so what did i do? - My favourite past time - SHOPPING! Of course!

What did i buy? LOTS!, Of course!

Total spent today: I lost count after £70 - My so-called 'Cutbacks' haven't quite began, have they?

Exercise done: Walking round the shops (oops)

A Crazy Day!

Today has been one crazy, manic day.
15 of us all piled into my Grandad's living room - and it is a small room.
It was a laugh though, especially when my 20 month old niece decided to climb into an empty box to be pulled along in - and the batting of the apples over the fence into the woods that had fallen from the tree in my Grandad's garden (a regular past time - getting covered in mushed up apple from batting it so hard, meanwhile my Grandad telling us not to break the greenhouse).
Feeling rather Claustrophobic though, i left early, on the was home i stopped at the shop and bought some phone credit, loaf of bread and some Lemonade - i suppose it could be classed as a necessity - well, the bread anyway ha ha.

Exercise done today: Walked to my Grandad's (approx 1 mile)

Total Spend today: £14.15

First Posting: Diary of a Spendaholic

If you are like me - you like spending money.
You could class it as the very definition of an Addiction.
It doesn't matter what I buy, how much I buy and how much I spend, I get a huge buzz from getting new things - especially clothes.
I love the feel of new clothes, it makes me feel so confident.
Same goes for new shoes too - well, until the blisters appear anyway.
Getting a bargain is the best of all shopping experiences, when something is reduced or you get free extras with it, Perfect!
Problem is - i will buy the most frivolous and silliest of things - i have so many nice things, most of which i will never get around to using, because most of the time I impulse buy (My worst habit!).
Still...you can't beat nice, new stuff! Can you?
So, my 'New Years Resolution' is to cut back on spending and to use the things i already have. I don't NEED anything else, everything i buy is because of 'Want'...very rarely because of 'Need'.
For example, is another pair of shoes a Necessity? or just a selfish 'Want'?

So...4 New Year Resolutions:

  1. To lose more weight. I 'NEED' to lose another 3st to consider myself as being a healthy weight.
  2. To get fitter. Also a 'NEED', i feel terribly unfit and unhealthy still. Time to put those new Shape-Up's i bought to good use!
  3. Eat Healthier. I 'NEED' to develop healthier food habits. Also key to the weight loss and exercise (energy!)
  4. Blog about my Spending Habits
